River Capital was founded in August 2015 in Hong Kong and received the asset management license from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission in March 2016, CE No. BGT071.

In May 2016, River Capital launched the River Capital China Select Fund, investing in selected Chinese companies with great growth potential, solid competitive advantage, and outstanding management teams.  The fund was re-domiciled from Cayman to Hong Kong in July 2022, and the fund's name was changed to River Capital China Select Fund OFC (SFC CE No. BSR596; Bloomberg Ticker RIVCCSF HK Equity ). Investment in the fund is eligible for the new Capital Investment Entrant Scheme (New CIES) with effect from 1 March 2024. 

River Capital appreciates the power of focusing and expects to manage one fund only in the foreseeable future.  We recognize the success of our business relying on the return, not the size, of the fund, and endeavor to create value for our investors by dedicating most resources to research and investment.
